Safety and Warranty Information

Jaguar Wearable Technologies’ Limited Product Warranty

We are responsible for SlingIt’s materials and manufacturing. We will repair or replace your SlingIt’s components due to materials or manufacturing flaws up to one year from date of purchase, so long as you use your SlingIt in accordance with SlingIt’s operating instructions. We are not responsible for damage resulting from misuse.

  • SlingIt supports “button-top” batteries exclusively. Button top style batteries are like the C or D cell batteries you commonly use in flashlights.

  • Always use 5, 8, or 10 amp batteries in your SlingIt. Never insert a battery claiming to support greater than 10 amps into your SlingIt.

  • Power your SlingIt using “protected” 18650 batteries. Each protected battery has its own small circular circuit board installed in its tip. Protection circuits are installed by battery component integrators and dealers. SlingIt provides safeties, but this circuit board, integrated into “each” battery provides additional, vital, over-charge, over-discharge and short circuit protection.

  • Always use standard-length, 66.8 mm-69.1 mm, 18650 batteries. Protection circuits and button-top contacts lengthen 18650 batteries up to (about) 4mm in length.

  • Lithium-Ion battery ingredients and circuits are contained in metal cylinders wrapped in plastic skins. Never install a battery with a damaged skin into your SlingIt.

  • Use 18650 batteries components made by reputable companies like Sanyo, Panasonic, Samsung and Tenergy; known for consistently delivering safe, high-performance products.

  • Always install 6 of the same make and model batteries, which have the same capacity and amperage specifications, into your SlingIt. You may have an inventory of batteries built by different companies, with different capacities, and which support different amperages; so make certain you keep your batteries sorted so you only have 1 type of battery installed at any one time.

  • Always follow the battery manufacturer’s/sellers directions for safety and handling.

  • Use top quality smart chargers to safely recharge your batteries, identify degraded batteries and to identify faulty and failing batteries. Remove faulty batteries from your battery inventory.

  • SlingIt was brought to market, in part, to minimize battery waste streams. Please safely dispose of batteries and all e-waste responsibly.
